Everything about August Novelization totally explained

August Novelization of 2 August 1926 refers to the changes (constitutional amendments) to the 1921 March Constitution of Poland. It was voted for in the aftermath of Józef Piłsudski's May Coup. It gave the president:
  • the power to dismiss the Sejm (parliament) and the Senate
  • the right to issue acts (rozporządzenia) with the statute power with the approval of the Sejm
  • took away Sejm power to disband itself
  • declared that if the Sejm can't agree on the budget it can be passed by the government
